Though it’s small, it packs a big visual punch, and reflects a growing trend of window galleries. There’s a bigger audience simply by having the art visible from the street. The huge amount of pedestrian traffic helps, too: without having to enter the gallery, most passers-by slow down to look into the window.
Whippersnapper Gallery is an artist-run centre committed to the cultivation of inclusive spaces for emerging visual and media arts, community arts, and experimental forms of exhibition making. We provide artists and cultural producers with a flexible platform and exhibition space to expand the parameters of their professional practice.
