is a small family operated Pizzeria/Restaurant! With over 40 years in the restaurant business and over 30 years as a Pizzaiolo, Romolo Known as the “Grand Master” of the Margherita Pizza, finally opened up his place in Toronto’s Historic Kensington Market January 2012.

The restaurant’s location signifies that the history of Pizza and the Market is timeless; You always find the BEST in the market. Pizzeria Via Mercanti specializes in Neopolitan style pizza, however, our house made pastas, paninos, antipasti and dessert have been widely recognized within the city!

Pizzeria Via Mercanti opened its second location on Elm Street November of 2013. With a beautiful 60 seat outdoor patio and a 100 person in door dining area in the historic part of the YWCA building, this location is sure to capture you. Not only is Via Mercanti on Elm Street a hidden gem, it has become recognized as one of the top pizzerias in the city, as well as one of the top restaurants to dine in general.

After topping the charts for number one pizza, ranking on Joanne Kate’s top 100 restaurants each year since business establishment, winning Best in Chow’s hit show “Pizza Wars” (beating Pizzeria Libretto and North of Brooklyn), and being featured on the Food Networks “You Gotta Eat Here!” – Pizzeria Via Mercanti decided to expand again, this time with TWO additional locations.

Via Mercanti North operates in Woodbridge, just north of the city and the third Toronto location is at Coxwell and Gerrard in Little India.
